MyUnisa Student Portal New Login Method – How to Login

The University of South Africa (Unisa) recently adopted a new method of logging into the myUnisa or myModule student portal and this has kept students in panic as they couldn’t get into the platform. If you are one of these students, do not fear because this article has come to your rescue. This article will teach you how to log in and access your student portal.

We are aware of the challenge logging into myUnisa or myModules. You do not need to change your password when you receive the “Invalid credentials” error message.

Unisa announced that the new login changes for myModules will be implemented as of midnight 8th September 2023. The new login method would now see students accessing their myUnisa portal using their Microsoft 365 verification.

Before logging on students are urged to refresh their previously stored favourites or cached pages before accessing myUnisa.

How to Clear Cache

To clear the cache on your browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Opera), take the following steps:

  1. Launch your browser .
  2. Press the CTRL-Shift-Delete for Windows, OR Command-Shift-Delete for Macs
  3. Use the check boxes to select the items to clear from the list. The following is recommended: Browsing History − Cookies and other site and plugin data − Cached images and files
  4. Click on Clear Browsing Data

How to Use New Login Method To Access Your myUnisa Portal

  1. To access myModules visit https://my.unisa.ac.za
  2. To sign in, click on “Unisa Staff/Marker email address, or Student myLife e-mail address”.
  3. Enter your full myLife e-mail address and click “Next”
  4. Enter your Unisa password and click on “Sign In”.
  5. Next you will be presented with verification steps either via the MS Authenticator App or One-Time-Pin via Cellphone.
  6. When presented with the screen below click on “Text’ or “Call”. You will get an OTP code on your registered phone number.
  7. Enter the OTP code in the Microsoft login window and click “Verify”.
  8. Next, the myModules landing page should display.
