The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) has opened its late application for the 2024 academic year. If you are a grade 12/ matric student who could not apply last year, now is the last chance for you to do so. The late application 2024 is open for faculties with available spaces willing to accept more students. The applications will open as early as Friday, 9 February 2024.
CPUT is the only university of technology in the Western Cape and is the largest university in the region and it’s best known for its provision of service-learning opportunities for its students. The Institution has six faculties which offer under 100 career-focused courses and has two main campuses in Bellville and Cape Town.

Faculty of Applied Sciences

Who Can Apply for CPUT Late Application
- National applicants (with an SA ID), including Refugee/Asylum Seeker and/or Permanent Residency applicants with a National Senior Certificate (NSC) / SC (Senior Certificate) / NCV (National Vocal Certificate) / National Qualification.
- National applicants (with an SA ID) with international qualifications who already have SAQA certificates.
- Refugee/Asylum Seeker status applicants with international qualifications who already have SAQA certificates.
- Permanent residency applicants with SA ID with international qualifications who already have SAQA certificates.
How to Apply for CPUT Late Application
- Select one of the available programmes you would like to apply for
- Gather the required documents (contained in the prospectus)
- All documentation must be certified (certification may not be older than 3 months)
- Please ensure that all uploaded documents are less than 2 MB in size
- Documents must be in either JPEG, PDF, TIFF or GIF format.
- Applicants below 18 at the time of application are required to submit a Minor Application Declaration form
- Any additional supporting documentation that is required for specific programmes must be submitted too
- Complete your online application
Note that CPUT accepts only online applications and only applications that follow the outlined application processes above will be considered as an applications.
