How to Register an eZaga NSFAS Account

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has also collaborated with a fintech company called eZaga to create NSFAS bank accounts and debit mastercards for it’s beneficiaries. Now, an eZaga account is an alternative to Coinvest account,which was talked about in a previous article. You can decide to make use any of them as they both serve the same purpose.

In this article, you will learn how to register/create an NSFAS eZaga account and how to claim your debit card. after doing this, you will be able to withdraw the funds sent to you without having your school as an intermediary.

How to Register an eZaga NSFAS Account

  1. Visit the eZaga website or download the eZaga App for Android or IOS
  2. Enter your ID number and use “12345” as password (this can be changed later)
  3. Enter the One Time Pin (OTP) received via your email address.
  4. Capture your information
  5. Take a clear photo of yourself holding your ID and take a clear photo of your ID only.
  6. Wait for an approval SMS from eZaga.
  7. Once your account has been approved, a debit bank card will be distributed at your campus.

Once you have completed the steps above, you will be able to recieve NSFAS funds through this account and you will also be able to use your debit card anywhere a card is usable. This account and the debit card will be deactivated after you have finished your studies, or if NSFAS stops funding it.
