Nelson Mandela University (NMU) Registration 2024: Dates, Process, Fees and Requirements

Nelson Mandela University (NMU) has opened its registration for 2024, so new and returning NMU students can register for new qualifications. Students can register from anywhere by logging on to the Student Portal or using the link provided in this article.

NMU Registration Dates

Below are the registration dates provided by Nelson Mandela University for different sets of students:

Late registration will commence on 11th February and students registering on or after this date are subject to a late registration fee payment. Registration will not be active until the payment is reflected on the student account. Late registration also closes on Thursday, 29 February 2024.

NMU Registration Requirements

Nelson Mandela University requires the following set of students to complete the following before beginning their registration process:

Returning Students: Your student account for previous years must be fully settled and your initial upfront down payment must be paid before you can proceed with your registration.

International Students: International students must pay all fees in full before registration, so if you are one, please request your estimation of fees from the International Student Accounts Office by emailing: [email protected]. International students must also complete pre-registration before proceeding with registration. To obtain financial and administrative clearance, please email an estimation of fees, proof of payment, proof of medical aid, valid passport and study visa to [email protected], Then you will receive an email from the relevant International Admissions Officer to proceed with registration. Please indicate “NMU Registration 2024” in the subject line.

How to Register

1. Visit the NMU registration website
2. Scroll to the bottom and click the ‘Register Now” link
3. Log in with your student number and PIN (If You don’t have a PIN, click the “Request a PIN” button and follow the prompts so that your PIN will be sent to your NMU student email address)
4. Select declaration by applicant. Please read and acknowledge the content and then select “I accept”.
5. Select Register Now (on the left side of your screen).
6. Your qualification information for 2024 will be displayed. Enter your employment status by selecting a value from the list.
7. The modules for your qualification will be displayed. Make your selection from the text box on the left.
8. Select save and continue once you have selected the modules for which you want to register.
9. Select “I accept” to confirm the registration of modules.
10. Select “accept registration” to complete your registration.
11. Your proof of registration will be displayed.

NMU Registration Fee 2024

Nelson Mandela University requires students registering for the following qualifications to make the following down payments before beginning their registration process:

• Medical degree first year (Inclusive of device and non-tuition fee levies) – R26 100
• Residences (students at all campuses) – R 7 600
