The North West University (NWU) eFundi portal is the school’s learning management system. It was created so that all students can access all their learning modules through the eFundi Learning portal and for lecturers to interact with students, provide reading materials, and conduct evaluations.

How to Sign up/Login to NWU eFundi Portal
- Visit the portal efundi.nwu.ac.za/portal
- Click the ‘login’ link at the top right corner of the page
- If you are a first-time user, use: your 8-digit NWU student number as username and your South African identity number followed by “@Nwu” as your initial password. If you are an international student, use your passport number followed by “@Nwu” as your initial password.
- Once you are logged in, you need to change those login details

How to Reset your eFundi NWU Login Password
The Password to your NWU eFundi portal expires after 3 months for security purposes, so if you want to get a new password, or you have forgotten the current one, follow the steps below to reset your password:
- Visit the eFundi portal page and click on “Reset Password”
- If you have forgotten your password, click the ‘forgot password’ link
- Fill in the details required of you
- Scroll down and click the ‘submit’ button
Your new password will be sent to you via SMS or E-Mail within one hour, that is if you provided the correct details. If the details you filled in do not match the ones in your school records, no password will be sent to you.
