Admission Requirements

The following is a list of subject criteria you need to get into SG Lourens Nursing College, depending on what certificate you hold:

Senior Certificate: English HG D or SG C, Biology HG D or SG C, Mathematics HG D or SG C and an M score of 17
National Senior Certificate: English Level 4, Life Sciences Level 4, Mathematics Level 4 or Maths Literacy Level 5, and an APS of 27 or more (Life Orientation counts half the score)
National Vocational Certificate: 50% in Fundamental Subjects (English as First Additional Language, Maths/Maths Literacy, Life Orientation) and 60% in the Vocational Subjects (SA Health Care System, Public Health, The Human Body and Mind and Community Oriented Primary Care)
Note: Current Grade 12 learners must meet the National Senior Certificate requirements in their Grade 11 final results.

• Receipt of payment of the Registration Fee (compulsory for SA and International applicants)
• A certified copy of your photo ID (ID document is required for South African nationals; your application will not be processed until you provide a certified copy of your ID and your passport number for international applicants).
• Exam Outcomes: Final grades for grade 12 (if available). If you are currently in grade 12, your grade 11 scores are crucial to your application. As a result, keep it in your possession.
• Keep in mind that you’ll need a unique email address when applying online or via mail.
• If you are not able to apply online, you may print the forms and mail them to the Admissions Office.

How to Apply to SG Lourens Nursing College

1. Access https://nursingintake.gauteng.gov.za
2. Click on Register Profile
3. Fill in all the required details, making sure you leave nothing out
4. Click on LOGIN, enter your username (ID Number) and Password
5. Click on the UPDATE RESUME to complete your details (Personal, School, Training, Work and Reference Details)
6. Once the profile is updated, click on TRAINING PROGRAMME to apply
7. Click on apply, your profile details should be displayed
8. Choose the centre, and add all four in order of preference
9. Click on Submit
10. Please note the Own Reference Number after submitting your application

How to Track Your Application
