University of Venda (UNIVEN) Online Application 2025

The University of Venda (UNIVEN) will soon begin its online application exercise for the 2025 academic year, so if you are a student interested in obtaining admission into this school by September this year, now is the time to prepare to apply.

The management of the University of Venda is expected to open the online application by April 2024 and close it in September 2024. The University of Venda has undergraduate and postgraduate courses available in the following faculties:

  • Faculty of Science, Engineering,  and Agriculture
  • Faculty of Management, Commerce, and Law
  • Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences and Education
  • Faculty of Health Sciences

Required Documents

When applying to UNIVEN, you will be required to upload copies of the following documents:

  • Your ID or passport.
  • Your Grade 11 final results with the school’s stamp.
  • Your academic record only if you are a current student at another institution of higher learning.
  • Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary institution).
  • Copy of study /residence permit / medical insurance /SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an international applicant).
  • Proof of payment (R100 application fee) payable on ABSA account no 1000 000 589 and use your ID number or student number as your reference.

Univen Application Requirements

If you are looking to pursue a Degree program at The University of Venda, The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an achievement rating of 50% and above in four subjects chosen from the recognised 20-credit NSC subjects. Also, your point score must be above 26.

If it’s a Diploma program you want to pursue at UNIVEN, The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an achievement rating of 40% and above in four recognised NSC 20-credit subjects.

If it’s a Certificate course you are interested in, UNIVEN requires a National Senior Certificate (NSC) from you. To be considered for admission to specific programmes, you are required to have the appropriate combinations of recognised National Senior Certificate subjects as well as certain levels of achievement in these subjects.

How to Apply to the University of Venda 2025

  • Begin your application by clicking https://www.univen.ac.za/apply-online
  • You will be required to create a pin consisting of 5 digits.
  • Scan and upload a copy of your I.D. document or passport, Grade 11 report or statement of grade 12 results or copy of Matric Certificate.
  • Complete your application by pressing the ‘submit ‘button
  • You will then get a student number

NB: Only South African undergraduate applicants are to apply to UNIVEN online, so if you are not a citizen, you have to apply physically.
