UNIZULU Application Opening and Closing Dates
The University of Zululand officially opened its online application for 2025 on 1 March 2024, and it will close on 30th September 2024. make sure you apply before the closing date because late applications attract a fee.

Requirements for UNIZULU Application 2025
For you to be accepted into any department in the University of Zululand, you need to meet the general admission requirements like a good APS score, good matric results etc. However, each department also has specific requirements you need to meet. check out these requirements.
Required Documents
These are the documents that UNIZULU requires from you when applying to the institution in 2025:
- Certified copy of Identity Document
- Certified copy of a diploma or degree certificate (if available)
- Certified copy of an academic record with conduct in respect of studies at another tertiary institution
- Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee (see relevant fee above)
- Certified copy of Matric results/certificate
Foreign/international students should also provide the following documents:
- Valid passport and study permit
- SAQA verification certificate
- Proof of financial means

How to Apply to UNIZULU for 2025
- To begin your application, visit www.cao.ac.za
- Read the information and click on ‘Continue with Application‘
- Enter your ID number and click on ‘Submit‘
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on ‘Continue with Application‘
- Start to enter ALL the details requested. Once you have entered all the requested information, click on ‘Next‘
- Click on ‘Continue with Online Application‘
- Fill up the requested information and click ‘continue’
- Click on the ‘Process my application’ button at the end of everything.
- The CAO number appears in the tear-off slip on the CAO application form.
- Use your unique CAO number as a reference when paying the application fee.
How to check Application Status
You check your UNIZULU application status by going to www.cao.ac.za and entering your CAO number, or email [email protected] or call 031 268 4444.
You will be notified via texts, emails and the official University Offer letter. However, if you haven’t received any message or letter, you may contact the Admissions Office using one of the following numbers: 035 902 6715/6051/6178/6184.
